Our practice takes great pride to provide an integrated model of healthcare, where health professionals are working together as a team in an interdisciplinary group that communicate and collaborates very closely to make sure all aspects of care to our patients are optimized including Medical, Neuro-chemical, Psychological, Behavioral, Interpersonal, and comprehensive care in the context of the individual's support systems including family and community, often times enhancing and facilitating appropriate support and collaboration.
Our team includes physicians, Psychiatric nurse practitioner and other mid-level providers, psychotherapists and counselors as well as psychologist and Neuro- psychologist, as well as a variety of health care trainees including interns supervised by our senior clinicians. We are happy to also include experts on nutritional health, exercise physiology, nursing in addition to the whole array of clinical coordinators and technicians, all to provide optimal care to patients and working collaboratively together having regular meetings for coordination of care.
We also take great pride collaborating and partnering with community resources including professionals as well as support services (like recovery, coaches, teachers and others that are also involved with our patients care). When the need arises we can make appropriate referrals if those services are not provided within our practice, in which case we will welcome collaboration with other providers and professionals in the community.
Our general services are available for patients of all ages and their families often times providing services for multiple members of the family being particularly sensitive to privacy issues and confidentiality.
We tailor treatment to the indiviual's needs as appropriate:
Intake and initial consultation & evaluation:
We take great pride in having a system where trained coordinators are connected with the initial phone call with the prospective patient, those coordinators briefly provide a brief and confidential phone interview where basic information are obtained related to the specifics needed for the services. Those coordinators are supervised by the medical director( or a senior clinician) who would make the appropriate initial intake appointment based on the clinical condition, urgency, appropriate staff assignment and preferences, often times aiming at providing the initial consultation in a very timely fashion( see Mental Health Express below).
Initial visit:
This is a very thorough and detailed assessment by our clinical intake team supervised by our medical Directors in order to assess and recommend the best, and most appropriate treatment plan with our clinical staff that will have the best chance of delivering the care, and at times might conclude more than one provider(eg counselor, medical provider etc..) who continue to work closely together to ensure maximum success.
Ongoing clinical services:
At all times we are considerate of the most appropriate and cost effective services for our patients, if a change in treatment protocol is indicated that is discussed by our team and presented to our patients. We recognize particularly in mental health at times a change in style or treatment philosophy is indicated, we also encourage our patients if they are not optimally satisfied with their care to give us their input so we can recommend a change( that service is very rarely available in other traditional psychiatric practices that rely on a single individual who might not be always an expert in different treatment philosophies). Whenever possible we try to utilize shorter-term and cost efficient services.
